The primary targeted population to be served by True Light of God Ministries Outreach Ministry are the homeless population, locally and globally. In any given night in the major cities in the United States, such as the metro Atlanta area, there are over 6,000 men, women, and children who are homeless (Wheatley, 2013). This population of people are those who are seen living in public places and areas deemed not suitable for human habitation, as well as the homeless shelters. One of the initiatives of outreach, is through food and clothing services. This allows for True Light of God Ministries to make contact and build rapport with this population to assess for specific needs that promote stability and self-sufficiency in their lives. True Light of God Ministries will partner with homeless shelters to serve hot meals and provide new and gently used clothing, shoes, and personal items to their residents. This ministry will also partner with the communities densely populated with visibly homeless people (homeless individuals whose habitations are in public place, under overpasses, abandoned homes, and other places not meant for human habitation) to provide these same services.
